Stan drove. Marina ran operations. Starting with one truck in 2012, they built Apex Transit into a women-owned, asset-based carrier and freight brokerage that moves freight across North America.
From one truck to a fleet
Built from the ground up.
As Apex grew, we brought experienced people into every key role. Today we run 90 late-model Volvo tractors and 500 dry-van trailers, plus a brokerage division and a network of independent freight agents.
We're still family-owned, with no private equity. The people who answer your call are the people who own the outcome.
Our story comes down to trust and doing the work. Those 2 things still decide how we treat every customer, driver, and agent.
Marina co-founded Apex Transit and runs it as CEO. She organizes Women in Trucking North Carolina, speaks at events like the Broker Carrier Summit, and has spent years in Washington, DC advocating for truck parking and driver rights.

Our Equipment
It starts with the equipment.
Apex is an asset-based carrier. We own the tractors, own the trailers, and maintain them in our own shop. Your freight moves on the latest Volvo VNLs, outfitted with the newest safety technology, including Volvo Dynamic Steering and inward- and outward-facing video monitoring.
Apex invests heavily in safety and the best equipment. When the steel on the road is yours, you build it right and keep it running, so a breakdown is never the reason your freight is late.
